Children are the future.
There are many benefits to being bilingual. Perhaps the most important for children is the advantage it can give them in school as well as later in a career.
As learning a second language is becoming more and more popular around the world, an increasing number of parents are trying to give their children the gift of knowing a foreign language.
Children are highly successful learners when they have a lot of exposure to a new language, like child immigrants who are surrounded by the new language every day. But if the amount of language a child is exposed to is usually limited to a few hours a day in a classroom. So there is a huge need for resources aimed at exposing a child to language when they aren't in school. There are interactive games and programs, television shows, and of course, books.
Since I am trying to focus on books in these newsletters, I wanted to look at some works geared towards children as well as adults. Another important aspect is the whole process of making learning fun through gamification.
I hope this helps in your own learning, whether you are a child, have a child, or are just a child at heart.
