Swahili
Swahili, also called Kiswahili, is a Bantu language spoken either as a mother tongue or as a fluent second language by various ethnic groups on the east coast of Africa. While only five million people speak Swahili as their native tongue, it is a lingua franca in much of East Africa, making the total number of speakers exceed 60 million.
