Danish
Danish is a North Germanic language spoken by around six million people, mainly in Denmark. It has minority language status in northern Germany, and there are minor Danish-speaking communities found in several countries including the United States. Along with other North Germanic languages, Danish is descended from Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples of Scandinavia.
